Spanish Journal of Rural Development (SJRD) is a journal of recent creation, published by the Asociación Gallega de Investigadores para el Desarrollo Rural (AGAIDERU), which tries to be a discussion forum contributing to improve the knowledge of rural environment, focusing on sustainable development. It is a multidisciplinary journal in which there is place for works focused on forestry, agronomy, environment, rural planning, international cooperation, socioeconomic issues... but always focused on their application for Sustainable Rural Development of local populations.
Those works that excel, both due to their originality as to their practical application, emphasizing the resolution of specific problems which allows sustainable development of rural populations and their environment, are particularly interesting to be published in this journal. It is in the spirit of the Editor and the Editorial Board to generate not only interest in the reader about these topics, but also set the appropriate framework for controversy and debate. Therefore, Spanish Journal of Rural Development Jounal (SJRD), carries out a policy of exchange with different scientific journals, as national as international level, deal with the priority lines of our journal
Spanish Journal of Rural Development is a quarterly publication, it accepts works, both in English as in Spanish, which is open a range of possible readers of Spanish language. Without losing the sight of the English is the most widely used language on international scientific level. The manuscripts will, subsequently, be reviewed first by a member of the Scientific Committee (Associate Editors) expert on the subject, who will be responsible for rejecting the paper or sending it to at least two independent reviewers.
The articles of this journal must include the following abbreviated title: Span. j. rural dev.
